Predictive maintenance and improvement for recurring faults

When the same fault keeps coming back, the root cause is still there. We apply predictive maintenance and design improvements to recurring mechanical and electrical faults, treating the cause and not just the symptom.

First rank faults by frequency and downtime loss to lock onto the top offenders; then use vibration, temperature and current signature analysis to find degradation patterns and early-warning thresholds.

We intervene before degradation becomes failure, and fix root causes such as design flaws and mis-selection, so the "old complaint" never comes back.

Common Questions

What is the difference between recurrent-fault improvement and repair?

Repair fixes this failure; improvement fixes why it keeps failing. Repair delivers a machine that runs again; improvement delivers a fault that stops happening - including the root cause analysis report, the improvement measures, verification data and standard revisions. Improvements usually grow out of patterns found during repairs, so the two are often done together.

Will improvements affect the machine's original factory condition?

For structural improvements we follow two rules: never weaken the original safety margin, and keep it reversible or restorable. For equipment under warranty we flag it in advance and recommend you talk to the manufacturer. Most improvements stay at the level of lubrication, protection, parameters and interlocks - optimisation rather than altering the machine itself.
