How the maintenance plan is tailored

Equipment inventory and grading: first inventory the equipment and grade it A/B/C by the impact of a stoppage, with maintenance resources tilted towards Class A. Where no inventory exists, we build it together with the register.

Duty survey: machine by machine we establish load factor, running hours, environmental conditions (dust, damp, temperature, corrosion) and fault history. The same pump model needs a completely different maintenance plan in clean water duty than in sewage duty.

Setting maintenance items and intervals: for each machine we list the intervals for lubrication, tightening, cleaning, replacement and adjustment items, based on the manufacturer's recommended values corrected for duty, then iterated with measured data.

Spares and consumables plan: safety stock is set from wearing part life and procurement lead times - critical parts must never be bought only after they fail. The plan is linked to the maintenance schedule so downtime is never spent waiting for parts.

Division of execution responsibilities: which items your team does, which we do and which are done jointly, with the interface and frequency written out. A common split leaves daily inspection with the plant while we take the periodic maintenance and professional testing.

Records and the monthly report: every maintenance action is recorded, and a report is issued monthly: execution status, hazards found, trend data and next month's plan. Reading the report is enough for you to stay on top of equipment condition.

Common Questions

What is the difference between a maintenance plan and a maintenance manual?

The manual is the manufacturer's generic recommendation to all users; the plan is the execution programme for your machine in your duty. The manual says 'change the oil every three months'; the plan states: this machine runs continuously in a hot, dusty environment, so oil samples are checked every six weeks and the oil changed every ten based on measured condition - which grade, what quantity, who executes it, and how it is recorded. The difference comes down to three words: actually executable.

How is the price of an annual maintenance contract set?

It is calculated from the equipment list: number and grading of machines, maintenance items and frequency, testing resources, emergency response commitments, and on-site or patrol mode. For the same plant, periodic maintenance only and periodic maintenance with condition monitoring price differently. We survey before quoting; the written plan states exactly what is and is not included, settled annually.
