Redundancy Assessment of 24-Hour Equipment: For equipment that must never stop — aeration blowers, lift pumps, return sludge pumps — we first assess the redundancy configuration: for duty/standby setups we verify the standby pump can be put into service at any time; where there is no standby, we calculate the maximum emergency repair time and draw up a contingency plan. Compliant discharge is a hard constraint, so equipment management must be designed around 'no unplanned stops allowed'.

Condition Monitoring of Blowers & Pumps: Periodic vibration and temperature measurement of blower bearings with current trend tracking; mechanical seal leakage checks, motor insulation megger tests, and impeller cavitation assessment for pumps. All data goes into trend ledgers so maintenance is scheduled early in the degradation curve — not after a bearing seizes or insulation breaks down.

Electrical protection for humid, corrosive duty: The root cause of almost every electrical fault in a wastewater plant is moisture and corrosive gas: periodic motor winding insulation testing, junction box sealing, terminal anti-corrosion treatment, cabinet heater-dehumidifier checks, and sealing of cable trays and conduit entries. Prevention up front costs an order of magnitude less than replacing a motor after moisture ingress.

Drive Maintenance of Scraper & Suction Machines: Sludge scrapers run at low speed under heavy load and sit in water year-round: drive chain inspection, travel wheel and rail wear measurement, slewing ring lubrication, and anti-corrosion checks of submerged parts. Grease is chosen in water-washout-resistant grades, with re-greasing intervals set by measured condition.

Oil & Lubrication Management: Blower gearbox oil is sampled and inspected regularly, and oil is changed by condition rather than rigidly by calendar. On one wastewater plant project we rebuilt the blower oil change intervals: oil analysis data set the intervals precisely, saving cost without taking any risk.

Emergency Repair & Contingency Plans: Contingency plans for critical equipment failures: standby pump changeover procedures, temporary aeration schemes, and emergency repair response deadlines. We respond the same day within our service region and accept urgent fault calls 24/7. Plans are drilled in peacetime so nobody panics when something happens.
