Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture

Qianxinan is known historically for gold mining and trade: alluvial gold mining at Zhenfeng (the old Yongfeng prefecture) runs back over two hundred years, and sustained Qing-dynasty gold working made Zhenfeng an important south-west gold producer. Its modern industry started with coal and gold — development of the Xingren-Zhenfeng coalfield from the 1950s, and Guizhou gold mining (Zijin Mining moving in during the 2000s, with large-scale development of deep gold mines at Shuiyindong, Zhenfeng and elsewhere) lifted Qianxinan's gold output to first in the province. During the Third Front era it held only a few supply points. After reform and opening-up, gold (Zijin and the foreign-invested Jinfeng joint-venture mine), coal-fired power (the Xingyi plant, local coal mines) and specialty agriculture (Xingren Job's tears, the nation's largest trading hub; Anlong edible fungi; Qinglong green tea) became the industrial mainstay, with Wanfenglin tourism and wellness rising.

In 2025 the Qianxinan prefecture's above-scale industrial value added grew steadily. Gold is the largest industry (Zijin's Shuiyindong mine and the Jinfeng mine, integrated mining-beneficiation-smelting, with gold output first in the province); coal-fired power (the Xingyi plant, the Panjiang Pu'an coal mines) and new energy (wind and solar, on rich Qianxinan sunshine) advance together; deep processing of specialty agriculture is scaling up (a national trading centre for Job's-tears products, factory-scale edible-fungus cultivation, tea); tourism (Wanfenglin, the Maling River Gorge, Shuangru Peak) sees rising annual visitor numbers. The Xingyi-Xingren-Zhenfeng industrial corridor is the main carrier, and the whole prefecture is building toward a south-west gold and new energy industrial base.

Zijin Mining's Guizhou family (the Shuiyindong gold mine), the Jinfeng gold mine (Sino-foreign joint venture), the Xingyi plant and Panjiang Pu'an coal mines, the Xingren Job's-tears consortium (the nation's largest trading hub), factory-scale edible-fungus cultivators, and Wanfenglin tourism operators.

Qianxinan's maintenance demand centres on mining equipment. Gold mining, beneficiation and smelting equipment (crushers, ball mills, flotation, cyanide leaching, electrowinning, tailings systems) has large upkeep and overhaul demand, with extremely high anti-corrosion and safety requirements in the cyanide stage; mine equipment (extraction, conveying, hoisting, ventilation) upkeep and annual-inspection rectification are rigid; power plant auxiliary overhaul has defined cycles; round-the-clock upkeep of environmental equipment at factory-scale edible-fungus farms (refrigeration, humidification, clean air conditioning, CO₂ control) is a specialty emerging market; Job's-tears and tea processing equipment upkeep is steady.
