Lijiang

Lijiang (the old Lijiang Prefecture) is the cultural centre of the Naxi people and a stronghold of the Tea-Horse Road. Lijiang Old Town (inscribed as World Cultural Heritage in 1997), Dongba culture and handicrafts (copperware, Dongba paper, weaving) stretch back a thousand years. The modern industrial base was thin, resting on tea, salt and handicrafts; the Third Front era left a few supply points. After reform and opening-up Lijiang built tourism on world-class resources (the Old Town, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Lugu Lake, Laojun Mountain), joining Yunnan's tourism front rank, while cultivating green energy (Jinsha River hydro, wind), plateau agriculture (Huaping mangoes, snow tea, herbal medicines) and bio-resource processing — an eco-economy led by tourism with green industry in support.

In 2025 tourism is Lijiang's absolute pillar: the Old Town and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (5A) rank among the province's top for annual visitors, and Lugu Lake, Laojun Mountain, snow-mountain sightseeing, ethnic performances and wellness resorts form diverse formats. Green energy (Jinsha hydro, wind) outputs steadily; deep processing of plateau agriculture (Huaping mangoes, a national geographical indication; snow tea, maca, herbal medicines) is scaling up; bio-resource processing and tourism-goods manufacturing are starting. The whole city sits in a national key ecological function zone, so industrial admission is limited to eco-friendly types — tourism-facility O&M and speciality farm-product processing are the main maintenance scenarios.

Lijiang's maintenance demand centres on tourism facilities and speciality farm processing. Upkeep and mandatory annual-inspection rectification of scenic-area special equipment (the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain cableway, sightseeing lifts, cruise-dock M&E) are rigid and specialised, and high-altitude service demands much of both equipment and crews; packaged O&M of hotel and guesthouse M&E (central AC, boilers, water supply and drainage, hot springs) is a big market; mango and herbal-medicine processing (washing, sorting, drying, packaging) means large, strongly seasonal equipment counts; hydro electromechanical overhauls follow defined cycles. Our focus: high-altitude cableway and special-equipment upkeep, packaged hotel M&E O&M, and farm-processing line upkeep and retrofits.
