Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture

Wenshan lies in south-east Yunnan and lived historically on notoginseng growing and trade, border commerce and agriculture — its notoginseng has been cultivated for over 400 years and supplies more than 90% of the national output, earning it the name "Home of China's Notoginseng". The modern industrial base was thin, starting with sugar, tea and small machinery; the Third Front era left a few supply points. After reform and opening-up Wenshan grew biopharmaceuticals on its notoginseng resource (deep processing, decoction pieces, extracts) and scaled up plateau agriculture (chilli, fruit). After 2018 it seized green energy and industrial relocation: large electrolytic-aluminium projects such as Weiqiao (Yunnan) Aluminium and Shenhuo Aluminium's Wenshan base landed, and green aluminium became Wenshan's biggest industrial increment — a leap from agricultural prefecture to green-manufacturing city.

In 2025 Wenshan Prefecture's above-scale industrial value added grew quickly. Green aluminium (Weiqiao and Shenhuo electrolytic aluminium, deep processing and fabricated products) is the largest industry, with capacity among the province's top. Biopharmaceuticals keep their distinctive edge — the full notoginseng chain (growing, processing, trading, extraction), with the nation's largest notoginseng market; deep processing of plateau agriculture (chilli, fruit, star anise) is scaling up; green energy (hydro, solar) supports. The Wenshan High-tech Zone and the Yanshan-Guangnan belt are the main carriers, and the prefecture is building into a south-east-Yunnan highland for green manufacturing and the notoginseng industry.

Wenshan's maintenance demand centres on green aluminium and notoginseng processing. At the smelter, overhead cranes, anode assembly, casting and fume treatment run hot — upkeep and retrofits are heavy, continuous, and our core business; hydraulic and CNC retrofits on aluminium deep-processing lines (rolling, extrusion) are specialised; notoginseng processing (washing, drying, slicing, extraction, filling) and pharmaceutical cleanroom upkeep are sticky; farm processing (chilli and fruit sorting, drying, packaging) means large equipment counts. Our focus: smelter potline overhauls and retrofits, aluminium processing equipment upkeep, and notoginseng-pharma cleanroom and line upkeep.
