Guang'an

Guang'an (Deng Xiaoping's hometown) had a thin modern industrial base and long rested on agriculture. After the Guang'an prefecture was set up in 1993 and converted into a city in 1998, it took in industrial relocation on its location next to Chongqing: the Guang'an ETDZ and the Sichuan-Chongqing Gaozhu New Area (the nation's first cross-provincial jointly built new area, established in 2020) landed in succession, and auto supply, electronic information and green chemicals grew from nothing. During the Third Front era Guang'an held only a few small defence-supply points; the main course of industrialisation happened after reform and opening-up, and especially after Sichuan-Chongqing cooperation deepened.

In 2025 Guang'an's above-scale industrial value added grew steadily, deeply embedded in Chongqing's industrial chains: auto components (tier-one and tier-two suppliers to Chongqing vehicle plants clustering here), electronic information (laptop and smart-terminal supply) and green chemicals (gas-based fine chemicals) are the three main thrusts; the Gaozhu New Area is piloting a moderate separation of economic and administrative zones, with a marked effect in absorbing Chongqing's industrial spillover. The city is building into the northern sub-centre of the Chongqing metropolitan circle.

The enterprise cluster in the Sichuan-Chongqing Gaozhu New Area (auto and electronics supply), chemical and equipment firms in the Guang'an ETDZ, the Chengxin Chemical family (pesticides and fine chemicals), the BNBM family (Guang'an base), and the Chongqing-supporting auto-parts cluster.

Guang'an's market is deeply interlocked with Chongqing. Auto-parts supply plants hold many stamping, moulding, CNC and assembly-line machines of moderate individual value, so rapid repair and outsourced servicing are the mainstream demand; upkeep of SMT peripheral equipment and cleanroom facilities at electronics supply plants is steady; plant overhauls at chemical firms (Chengxin Chemical and others) are specialised work. Our focus: packaged annual equipment upkeep for small and mid-sized supply plants (Module 02), commissioning of equipment in new plant buildings (Module 06), and CNC retrofits on machine tools (Modules 04/08).
