Neijiang

Neijiang's modern industry was famed for sugar: in the late Qing and Republican periods cane growing and sugar making flourished along the Tuo River, spreading the name "Sweet City" nationwide, and in the 1950s backbones such as the Neijiang Sugar Factory and the Baima Power Plant were built. Under the Third Front programme Neijiang took in machinery firms in machine tools, bearings and auto parts (the Neijiang Machine Tool Plant and others), and the Weiyuan Iron & Steel Works (forerunner of Chuanwei) was expanded in the southern-Sichuan steel campaign. After reform and opening-up the sugar industry shrank and Neijiang turned to machinery and new materials; Chuanwei Group grew into one of Sichuan's largest private steel enterprises.

In 2025 Neijiang's above-scale industrial value added grew steadily. Electronic information (Mingtai Microelectronics and the Catcher International family supplying laptop parts) became the largest industry; auto components (Jinhong crankshafts and others) supply Chengdu-Chongqing vehicle plants; biopharmaceuticals (Huiyu Pharmaceutical and others) are growing fast; Chuanwei Group's vanadium-titanium steel and steel for prefabricated buildings hold their scale. The Neijiang ETDZ is a national-level carrier, and the city's standing as the "heart of Chengdu-Chongqing" logistics hub is strengthening.

Neijiang's demand structure is clear. Laptop-supply plants (stamping, injection moulding and CNC for structural parts) run large, fast-turning equipment fleets, with brisk demand for rapid repair and outsourced servicing of stamping lines and moulding machines; overhauls and spare-part repair on smelting and rolling equipment at the steel firm (Chuanwei) are traditional large orders; machine-tool accuracy at crankshaft and other auto-parts firms bears directly on OEM audits. Our focus: annual outsourced equipment upkeep at electronics supply plants (Module 02), steel overhauls (Module 03), and machine-tool accuracy calibration with CNC retrofits (Module 04).
