Guangyuan

Guangyuan (the old Lizhou) commands the junction of Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu, and its modern industry began with resources and transport: the Baoji-Chengdu Railway opened in the 1950s, making Guangyuan the materials hub of northern Sichuan. Under the Third Front programme the state laid out the "Base 062" aerospace cluster (including the Changzheng Machinery Factory and others) and defence-electronics firms (forerunners of the 081 Electronics Group) in Guangyuan, forming a Third Front industrial base in aerospace, electronics and energy (hydropower such as Baozhusi). Guangyuan became a city in 1985; Third Front enterprises converted to civilian production and were restructured one after another, and the aluminium industry (the Chinalco family and local electrolytic aluminium) rose on the power resource to become a new pillar.

In 2025 Guangyuan's above-scale industrial value added grew steadily, with green aluminium the first pillar: electrolytic-aluminium capacity (the China Coal / Zhongfu family Guangyuan projects and others) runs at full production, extending into aluminium sheet, strip and foil and recycled aluminium, while construction of the "China Green Aluminium Capital" advances; food and beverage (Wahaha's Guangyuan base, the COFCO family) move together with silicon-based new materials and clean energy (hydro + solar); defence-electronics firms such as 081 Electronics keep their technical depth. The Guangyuan ETDZ is a national-level carrier.

Guangyuan's market turns on the aluminium chain. In the potrooms, overhead cranes (multi-function units), anode assembly lines and casting equipment run in harsh hot, dusty conditions — mechanical and electrical maintenance demand is heavy and continuous; upkeep of hydraulic and CNC systems on aluminium processing (rolling, extrusion) equipment is highly specialised; special-equipment maintenance at defence-electronics firms carries confidentiality and qualification requirements; packaging-line retrofits at food plants are a supplementary line. Our focus: smelter crane and anode-line overhauls (Module 03), hydraulic-system retrofits in aluminium processing (Module 08), and automation upgrades on food packaging lines (Module 05).
