Yibin

Yibin's modern industry is underlaid by brewing and river shipping: ancient fermentation pits such as the Ming-dynasty "Lichuanyong" have been in continuous use to this day, and Wuliangye's brewing history runs over six hundred years; around 1906 modern utilities such as an electric-light company appeared in Yibin. During the war of resistance Yibin was a key port for Chuanjiang shipping and materials transit. Under the Third Front programme the nuclear fuel-element plant (today's CNNC Jianzhong) and the Nanshan Machine Factory and other defence and supply enterprises were sited in Yibin, forming a parallel "defence + civilian" industrial structure. After reform and opening-up Wuliangye expanded into Yibin's first pillar and veteran firms such as Tianyuan Chemical were restructured; when CATL's Sichuan Times project landed in 2019, Yibin's industrial structure took a historic turn.

In 2025 Yibin's power-battery output value broke CNY 100 billion, with Sichuan Times' successive projects at full production and cell-material, structural-part and equipment suppliers clustering around them; the PV industry (the Yingfa Deyao and Gaojing Solar families) scaled up fast; liquor (Wuliangye's 2025 revenue near CNY 200 billion) and smart terminals (Doov and others) contribute steadily. Citywide above-scale industrial value-added growth ranks among the province's best, and Sanjiang New Area is a provincial-level new area.

Wuliangye Group (second among Sichuan's top-100 enterprises, revenue over CNY 195 billion), Sichuan Times (CATL's Yibin base), CNNC Jianzhong (nuclear fuel elements), the Yingfa Deyao / Gaojing families (PV wafers and cells), and the Yibin Tianyuan Group (chlor-alkali chemicals).

Yibin is the south-west's densest market for new capacity. Power-battery and PV plants run new, highly automated equipment, so demand concentrates on outsourced preventive-maintenance systems (Module 02), equipment networking and data acquisition (Module 08), and resident commissioning support through capacity ramp-up; filling and packaging lines at liquor firms are long-lived, with heavy retrofit and refurbishment demand; rotating equipment, pipe racks and anti-corrosion maintenance at chemical firms (Tianyuan) are a traditional strength market. Our priorities in Yibin: line upkeep for suppliers around the new-energy majors, automation retrofits on liquor packaging lines, and chemical plant overhauls.
