Suining

Suining's traditional economy rested on brine, textiles and agriculture, and modern industry started late; the Third Front era laid out some machinery and chemical enterprises. After becoming a city in 1985 Suining grew food and textile industry on the agriculture and light-textile base of the Fu River basin; in the 2000s Tianqi Lithium (at Shehong) started from lithium-salt processing and grew into a global lithium leader, setting Suining on the road to being a "lithium-battery capital". From 2019 ten-billion-yuan projects — SVOLT, Sinomine Resource (Chengxin Lithium), Sichuan Yuneng and others — landed in succession, and the lithium-battery materials industry leapt from a single point to a full chain.

In 2025 Suining's above-scale industrial value added grew steadily, with lithium batteries first in the city by output value: a full-chain layout of basic lithium salts (Tianqi), cathode materials (Sichuan Yuneng), anode materials, structural parts and cells (SVOLT's Suining base); electronic circuits (Tripod Technology and other PCB makers) supply the Chengdu-Chongqing electronic-information cluster; food and beverage (Tuopai Shede at Shehong) and oil-gas chemicals hold their scale. The Suining ETDZ is a national-level carrier.

Suining's market turns on the lithium-battery chain. Reactors, dryers, kilns and pneumatic conveying systems at lithium-salt and cathode-materials plants run continuously, so preventive maintenance and annual overhauls are high-volume and specialised; coating, roll-pressing and stacking equipment at cell factories is highly automated and needs maintenance teams that understand lithium-battery processes; upkeep of drilling and plating equipment at PCB plants has tight accuracy requirements. Our focus: overhauls on lithium-battery materials plant (Module 03), outsourced cell-line upkeep (Module 02), and retrofits on kilns and conveying systems (Module 08).
