Shunqing District

Shunqing was the seat of the old Shunqing Prefecture and the birthplace of Nanchong's modern industry: around 1912 the Shunqing silk filature opened, and silk travelled down the Jialing and Yangtze rivers to overseas markets, laying the foundation of Nanchong's reputation as the "silk city". During the war of resistance Shunqing processed and transshipped rear-area supplies. After 1949 silk, machinery and food industries gradually formed a system, and a batch of machinery suppliers relocated in during the Third Front programme. Reform and opening-up brought restructuring and relocation into industrial parks; after 2000 the centre of gravity shifted to the Nanchong High-tech Zone, where equipment manufacturing and electronic information took over from silk as the backbone of urban industry.

In 2024 Shunqing's above-scale industrial value added grew 7.2%. The Nanchong High-tech Zone has settled into a "one specialty, two mains" structure: NEV components as the specialty (Nanchong Lüneng, C&U Bearing, Rishang Metal, Fuhua new energy batteries), with semiconductor components and electronic information as the mains (Zhongke Jiuwei, Zhongjing Aerospace, Tongguang Optical Fiber, Xinchuan Electronics). Emerging clusters — vacuum equipment, aerospace special equipment, robot components — are concentrating in the park, which has been recognised as a provincial high-tech industrial park, a Sichuan "5+1" key specialty park (electronic information), and a provincial green park.

Shunqing is the market at our front door: one hour from our Yilong base, so a morning call can mean hands on the machine the same afternoon. In the High-tech Zone, bearing grinding-and-assembly lines, auto sheet-metal and wheel-rim lines, and charging-equipment assembly lines run mainly on CNC grinders, presses, assembly conveyors and test benches — the demand concentrates on holding accuracy and clearing electrical faults. At semiconductor vacuum component plants the vacuum sets, leak testing and cleanroom utilities demand serious preventive maintenance and suit annual outsourcing contracts. The urban core is service-heavy and industrial land is tight, so plants prefer outsourced teams that fix it right and keep downtime short — our same-day response and traceable records fit that appetite exactly.
