Fuling District

Fuling's industrial history runs on two threads — chemicals and food. During wartime relocation, parts of chemical firms such as the Tianyuan Electrochemical Works were rebuilt in eastern Sichuan; under the Third Front programme Fuling took in chemical and machinery enterprises such as the East Sichuan Chemical Plant and Jianfeng Chemical (fertiliser), forming a chemical corridor along the Yangtze. The zhacai processing industry has run for more than a century since Qiu Shou'an created it in 1899, and Wujiang zhacai became a household brand. After the 2000s the Fuling shale-gas field (the Jiaoshiba block — a breakthrough in 2012, developed by Sinopec Fuling Shale Gas Company) became China's first large shale-gas field in commercial development, long ranking first nationally in output; in the 2010s Huafon Group came to Fuling and built a world-leading spandex and adipic acid base.

In 2025 Fuling's above-scale industrial output passed CNY 290 billion, with materials output of CNY 153.1 billion first in the municipality. Huafon Spandex was named a global "Lighthouse Factory" (the highest certification of smart manufacturing), and its adipic acid capacity leads the world; cumulative shale-gas output has exceeded 80 billion cubic metres, first in the nation, pulling LNG and chemical extensions along; equipment manufacturing (NEV components, ship supply) and food (Wujiang zhacai) are steady; and Longtou Port (an upper-Yangtze rail-road-water intermodal hub) saw throughput grow 143%, becoming the logistics gateway of eastern Chongqing.

Huafon Chemical / Huafon Spandex (a global Lighthouse Factory, spandex and adipic acid), Sinopec Fuling Shale Gas Company (the nation's largest shale-gas field), the Wujiang Fuling Zhacai Group, the Jianfeng Chemical family, and the Longtou Port operator.

Fuling is one of Chongqing's densest maintenance districts. Overhauls of pumps, compressors, reactors and pipe racks on chemical plant (spandex, adipic acid, fertiliser) are high-volume and continuous, requiring explosion-proof compliance experience and full-establishment crews; equipment upkeep at shale-gas gathering and processing stations (boosting, dehydration, gas collection) follows defined cycles; the Lighthouse Factory's automated lines and industrial software systems need maintenance teams that understand the process; and washing, pickling and packaging-line equipment at zhacai food plants is large in count. Our focus: taking annual overhauls on chemical plant, gas-field station equipment upkeep, and automation retrofits on food packaging lines.
