Hechuan District

Hechuan's modern industry began with machinery, chemicals and energy. During wartime relocation Hechuan took in some textile and machinery enterprises (relocation sites such as the Yufeng Mill), becoming an outer base of the wartime capital's industry; under the Third Front programme small Third Front machinery and chemical firms were laid out here, with enterprises such as the Huachuan family (auto chassis) laying foundations. After reform and opening-up Hechuan grew chemicals, building materials and vehicle-motorcycle supply on its three-river water resources and energy (the Shuanghuai power plant and others); in the 2010s the information-security industry (the Chongqing Information Security Industry City in Hechuan) surged, becoming one of the few district-level cybersecurity bases in the country; and medicine-health (APIs and formulations) extended from the chemical base.

In 2025 Hechuan's above-scale industry grew steadily. Vehicle-motorcycle manufacturing (vehicles and components after the Bisu family's restructuring, Qingling-family supply, motorcycles and general machinery) holds its scale; medicine-health (APIs, Chinese patent medicines, medical devices) is a speciality cluster; the Information Security Industry City gathers cybersecurity firms and data services, forming twin wheels of "manufacturing + digital"; consumer-goods industry (food, liquor, paper products) is steady. The Hechuan High-tech Zone is the main carrier, building into an important strategic pivot of the Chengdu-Chongqing twin-city economic circle.

The Hechuan vehicle-motorcycle and component cluster (Qingling family / motorcycle supply), the medicine-health cluster (APIs and formulations), the Chongqing Information Security Industry City enterprise group, energy players such as the Shuanghuai power plant, and the consumer-goods industry cluster.

Hechuan's maintenance demand runs on two lines — vehicles-motorcycles and pharma. Upkeep of machining, stamping, assembly and painting equipment at vehicle-motorcycle component plants is large and broad; mostly small and mid-sized private shops, packaged upkeep and rapid fault handling are the mainstream. Cleanroom facilities (purification HVAC, pure water, compressed air) and production lines (granulation, tableting, filling, packaging) at pharma firms carry high upkeep requirements and strong stickiness; power-plant auxiliary overhauls are traditional large orders; and data-centre M&E O&M for the information-security industry is rising. Our focus: packaged upkeep for small vehicle-motorcycle shops, pharma cleanroom and line upkeep, and power-plant auxiliary overhauls.
