Nan'an District

Nan'an's modern industry began along the river: in the Republican period small machinery and chemical works were set up around Tanzishi-Haitangxi; during wartime relocation, ordnance firms such as the Changjiang Electrical Works (part of the 21st Arsenal system, today's Changan family) were sited in Nan'an, making it an important base of China's electrical and ordnance manufacturing. Under the Third Front programme Chongqing's electronics industry (Factory 342 and other defence-electronics firms) was laid out in the Nan'an-Nanping belt. In the 1980s the Nanping Development Zone was established, one of Chongqing's earliest economic development zones, gathering electronics and information industries; in the 2010s the Chayuan New Area took on smart terminals and IoT, and construction of the 5G Industrial Park began.

In 2025 electronic information and the digital economy were the pillars of Nan'an's above-scale industry. Smart terminals in the Chayuan New Area (handset components, new-display supply) hold their scale; the IoT industry (China Mobile IoT headquartered here) pulls vehicle-networking, sensor and industrial-internet applications; the Chongqing ETDZ (Nan'an section) focuses on automotive electronics and software services; and the Nanbin Road-Changjiahui belt thrives in tourism and commerce. The district is building the "Jiangnan New Town" digital-industry highland.

Nan'an's maintenance demand concentrates on electronics manufacturing and building facilities. Outsourced upkeep of SMT and assembly-test equipment at Chayuan electronics plants is steady; pilot lines and test-laboratory M&E packages at IoT and vehicle-networking firms are rising; the M&E O&M market for Nanbin Road commercial complexes and the high-rise cluster is large; and upkeep of cleanroom facilities (purification HVAC, ESD, pure water) at automotive-electronics plants is highly specialised. Our focus: packaged equipment upkeep at electronics plants, cleanroom facility O&M, and custody-style M&E upkeep for commercial buildings.
