Jiangjin District

Jiangjin's modern industry began with machinery and chemicals. During wartime relocation Jiangjin took in some ordnance and machinery enterprises, becoming an outer base of the wartime capital's industry; under the Third Front programme "Base 081" (space liquid propulsion — today parts of CASC's Sixth Academy) and the Chongqing Gear Works (Chongqing Gearbox, planned in 1966, a leader in marine and industrial gearboxes) were laid out here, forming a national-team base for space propulsion and heavy transmission equipment. After reform and opening-up Chongqing Gearbox kept supplying gearboxes for ships, wind power and rail transit; the Degan-Luohuang riverfront belt developed building materials, chemicals and equipment manufacturing on the Yangtze's deep-water shoreline, and the Shuangfu New Area absorbed the overflow of Chongqing's urban-core industry.

In 2025 Jiangjin's above-scale industry grew steadily. Equipment manufacturing (Chongqing Gearbox's wind and marine gearboxes, Weichai (Chongqing) engines, Sany / Zoomlion engineering-equipment supply) holds its industry standing; consumer-goods industry (paper products, food, liquor packaging) leads the city's districts and counties in scale; new materials (high-performance fibres, metal materials) move with electronic information (Shuangfu); the Luohuang Port-Xiaonanya railway logistics centre forms an upper-Yangtze multimodal hub; and the Tuanjiehu Digital Economy Industrial Park is cultivating intelligent-connected and big-data industries.

Chongqing Gearbox (a leader in wind and marine gearboxes), Weichai (Chongqing) engines, Sany / Zoomlion engineering-equipment supply, the Nine Dragons Paper family (Jiangjin), the consumer-goods and liquor-packaging cluster, and Shuangfu's electronic-information suppliers.

Jiangjin's maintenance demand centres on heavy-equipment and consumer-goods plant. Upkeep of large machine tools (hobbing, gear grinding, boring-milling), heat-treatment lines and assembly test benches at gearbox and engine plants is highly specialised with tight accuracy requirements; paper machines, coating and conveying equipment on paper and packaging lines (the Nine Dragons family) run continuously, giving high-volume upkeep and overhaul demand; automation retrofits on food and liquor packaging lines continue; and upkeep of machining equipment at engineering-equipment supply plants is steady. Our focus: accuracy maintenance and CNC retrofits on heavy large machine tools, paper-machine line overhauls, and automation upgrades on packaging lines.
