Tongliang District

Tongliang was traditionally an agricultural county (the "dragon hometown"), with industry starting small in machinery, building materials and chemicals; the Third Front era left a few supply points. After reform and opening-up, on the pull of Chongqing's urban core, Tongliang grew machinery (valves, pumps), chemicals (fine chemicals) and farm-by-product processing. The turning point came in the 2020s: Tongliang seized the new-energy-storage track, and in 2022 HiTHIUM's south-west manufacturing base settled here and was quickly built and commissioned (storage cells and systems), pulling materials, structural parts and equipment suppliers to cluster — making Tongliang one of the nation's important new-energy-storage bases and completing a leap from traditional agricultural county to new-energy industry city.

In 2025 Tongliang's above-scale industry grew fast. The new-energy-storage industry (HiTHIUM's south-west base running cell and system lines at full production, with supply projects entering operation in succession) is the first growth pole; new materials (metal new materials, electronic materials) move with intelligent equipment (CNC machine tools, moulds, automation equipment); traditional machinery (valves, pumps) and chemicals are upgrading towards the high end; consumer-goods industry (food, liquor) is steady. The Tongliang High-tech Zone is the main carrier, building the new-energy-storage base of western China.

HiTHIUM (south-west manufacturing base, storage cells and systems), the Tongliang High-tech Zone new-materials cluster, intelligent-equipment and CNC machine-tool firms, the traditional machinery cluster (valves and pumps), and consumer-goods firms.

Tongliang's maintenance demand follows the new-energy new-plant thread. Storage-battery plants' coating, winding/stacking, electrolyte filling, formation-grading and PACK lines are highly automated with strict cleanroom and dry-room requirements (dew-point control), so upkeep and process-equipment retrofits are specialised and command a premium; commissioning orders for newly built supply projects (Module 06) are continuous; accuracy-maintenance demand at intelligent-equipment and machine-tool firms is steady; and overhaul-refurbishment of traditional machinery and chemical-plant equipment is baseline work. Our focus: outsourced storage-line upkeep with dry-room facility maintenance, taking new-plant commissioning, and retrofits and refurbishment of traditional equipment.
