Tongnan District

Tongnan was traditionally a large agricultural county (the granary of the Fu River basin) with a thin modern industrial base; the Third Front era left only scattered supply points. After reform and opening-up Tongnan started with farm-by-product processing (canned food, lemons) and chemicals (fine chemicals); in the 2010s, on the strength of the Yu-Rong expressway and faster trains on the Chengdu-Chongqing railway, the Tongnan Industrial Park took in industrial relocation from Chongqing's urban core and the Chengdu direction, and electronic information (smart-terminal supply, electronic components) and intelligent equipment gradually took shape; the lemon industry (one of "China's lemon capitals", Tongnan lemons) extended from growing into deep processing and bio-extraction, a model of speciality-agriculture industrialisation.

In 2025 Tongnan's above-scale industry grew steadily. Electronic information (connectors, electronic components, smart-terminal supply) is the largest industry; intelligent equipment (CNC machine tools, automation equipment, moulds) is clustering; food processing (lemon deep processing, canned vegetables, condiments) is scaling up on agricultural resources; chemicals (fine chemicals) and new materials hold their scale. The Tongnan High-tech Zone is the main carrier, building an industrial-reception highland in the Chengdu-Chongqing middle belt.

The Tongnan High-tech Zone electronic-information supply cluster (connectors / electronic components), intelligent-equipment and CNC machine-tool firms, the lemon deep-processing cluster (bio-extraction / food), fine-chemical firms, and the vegetable-food processing cluster.

Tongnan's maintenance demand centres on small and mid-sized manufacturing and food equipment. Custody-style upkeep of SMT, moulding and test equipment at electronics supply plants is steady; assembly commissioning and accuracy maintenance at CNC machine-tool and automation-equipment firms are specialised; washing, sterilising, filling and packaging equipment in food processing (lemon extraction, canning, condiments) is large in count with concentrated seasonal upkeep; and upkeep of chemical plant pumps and reactors is traditional work. Our focus: custody-style equipment upkeep at electronics plants, food-line upkeep with automation retrofits, and chemical plant overhauls.
