Yongchuan District

Yongchuan's modern industry began with coal, chemicals and machinery; under the Third Front programme small Third Front machinery and chemical enterprises (south-Sichuan industrial points) were laid out here. After reform and opening-up Yongchuan used its vocational-education resources (more than ten vocational colleges, a western vocational-education base) to train skilled workers and attract manufacturing to cluster; in the 2010s the Tatung (Quanta family) laptop manufacturing base settled here and electronic information became the largest industry; in 2018 Great Wall Motors' Chongqing base (Yongchuan) was completed and commissioned, becoming GWM's only complete-vehicle base in the south-west and pulling hundreds of component suppliers to cluster — giving Yongchuan its three-pillar structure of "complete vehicles + electronics + equipment".

In 2025 Yongchuan's above-scale industry grew steadily. Great Wall Motors' Chongqing base (Haval and Tank series plus NEV models) holds its output scale, with more than 300 component suppliers; electronic information (Tatung laptops and components) is diversifying into smart terminals; intelligent equipment (CNC machine tools, robots, moulds, plus the Chongqing Cloud Valley · Yongchuan Big Data Industrial Park) is growing fast; and new materials move with the consumer-goods industry. Yongchuan is building into an important node city of the Chengdu-Chongqing twin-city economic circle and a hub of western Chongqing.

Great Wall Motors' Chongqing base (complete vehicles and NEVs), Tatung (Chongqing) Computer (laptop manufacturing), Yongchuan's CNC machine-tool and mould cluster, the Cloud Valley Big Data Industrial Park enterprise group, and industry-education integration firms attached to the Chongqing vocational-education base colleges.

Yongchuan's maintenance demand advances on three lines — vehicles, electronics and machinery. The four-process equipment at vehicle plants (stamping lines, welding robot clusters, painting lines, assembly lines) is large in scale, with steady line upkeep and retrofit demand in the Great Wall family; demand for outsourced upkeep of SMT and assembly-test equipment at laptop electronics plants is heavy; CNC machine-tool and mould firms are both clients and peers — their own machine-tool accuracy maintenance and test-bench calibration needs are specialised; and M&E facility O&M at the big-data park is steady. Our focus: outsourced welding and painting line upkeep at vehicle plants, annual equipment upkeep at electronics plants, and accuracy calibration with CNC retrofits across machine-tool fleets.
