Jiulongpo District

Jiulongpo is one of the birthplaces of Chongqing's modern industry. In 1938 part of the Hanyang Iron Works equipment moved inland to Dadukou (today in Dadukou district, historically part of the same Chongqing industrial zone as Jiulongpo), and the 24th Arsenal (forerunner of Jianshe Machine Tool) and others were sited along the river; the Huangjueping-Yangjiaping area became a wartime machinery and ordnance corridor. Under the Third Front programme firms such as the Chongqing Jianshe Machine Tool Plant, the Chongqing Air Compressor Plant and the Southwest Vehicle Works (military conversion vehicles) grew strong, and the Xipeng belt formed an aluminium industrial city around the Southwest Aluminium Plant (planned in 1965, commissioned in the 1970s — the cradle of China's aluminium processing). After reform and opening-up the vehicle-motorcycle industry (Jianshe motorcycles, the Zongshen supply family) and aluminium processing kept expanding.

In 2025 Jiulongpo ranked among the city's top for above-scale industrial output. The aluminium processing chain in the Xipeng Industrial Park (Southwest Aluminium's high-end aluminium alloy materials, with deep-processing supply) keeps its national lead; vehicle-motorcycle and general-machinery components (Jianshe and Zongshen supply families) hold a stable scale; the digital economy (Chongqing Digital City, cooperation with the Huawei family) and high-end equipment (CNC machine tools, rail-transit supply) are being laid out faster; and the Zhongliangshan-Science City Jiulongpo section carries new-materials and intelligent-connected supply projects.

Southwest Aluminium (Chinalco family, high-end aluminium alloy materials), the Chongqing Jianshe Electromechanical family (vehicles, motorcycles, general machinery), the Xipeng aluminium deep-processing cluster, the Qingling Motors supply family, and rail-transit equipment suppliers.

Jiulongpo's maintenance demand centres on heavy industry and aluminium processing. Southwest Aluminium's melting-casting, hot-rolling, cold-rolling and finishing units are large-scale and long-lived, with continuous demand for hydraulic-system and CNC retrofits; combustion-system retrofits (Module 08) on melting and soaking furnaces and crane overhauls at aluminium plants are a traditional strength; upkeep of machining and assembly equipment at vehicle-motorcycle component plants is large and broad. Our focus: overhauls and hydraulic retrofits on aluminium processing units, combustion and dust-extraction upgrades in melting-casting shops, and packaged upkeep across machining fleets.
