Yubei District

Yubei converted from county to district in 1994; traditionally it was a large agricultural county. Its industrialisation runs from reform and opening-up onward: in the 1990s Chongqing's auto industry moved north (Changan Ford settled in 2001, and afterwards several Changan-family plants were laid out across the Lianglu-Longxing-Muer belt); the Airport Industrial Park and the Lianglu-Cuntan Bonded Port Area (established 2008) drove an explosion in electronics processing trade (at one point a third of the world's laptops were made in Chongqing, with Yubei a major carrier); in the 2010s the Xiantao International Big Data Valley was built and the digital economy took shape; and after 2017 the Liangjiang New Area Longxing section took on NEV complete vehicles (Changan New Energy / Avatr and others) and the aviation industry (C919 supply, general aviation).

In 2025 Yubei ranked first citywide in above-scale industrial output. The auto industry is switching to intelligent connected NEVs (Changan-family NEV models scaling up, high-end brands such as Avatr in mass production); electronic information (smart terminals, new-display supply) holds its scale; the airport-adjacent economy (aviation MRO, air logistics) moves with software and IT services; and the Xiantao Data Valley gathers intelligent-vehicle software and chip-design firms. The district is building the core of a world-class intelligent connected NEV cluster.

Changan's Yubei plant group (including NEVs), Changan Ford, Avatr Technology (Longxing), OPPO/vivo smart terminals (Chongqing base), the Transsion supply family, CRRC Changchun Chongqing (rail vehicles), and the Xiantao Data Valley enterprise group.

Yubei is one of the largest district-level maintenance markets in the south-west. Vehicle plants hold large equipment across the four processes (stamping / welding / painting / assembly), and servicing, calibration and fault handling on welding robot workstations (numbering in the thousands) is high-frequency work; upkeep of SMT lines, test equipment and cleanroom facilities at electronics plants is steady; new builds and retrofits on NEV three-electric lines continue. Our focus: outsourced welding and assembly line upkeep at vehicle plants, annual equipment upkeep at electronics plants, and line automation retrofits with data acquisition (Module 08).
